NPI provider registry

The public CMS National Provider Identifier registry — find providers or organizations by name or NPI. Returns NPI, name, provider (specialty) type, and practice address.

How to use

Set `type` to "individual" (default) or "organization". NPI is public directory data (not PHI).

Parameters

Name	Type		Description
query	string	required	Provider/organization name or NPI number.
type	enum(individual \| organization)	optional	Default individual.
limit	number	optional	Max results (default 20).
